Themed list: same-sex marriage

This list is a part of the “Family Life arc”, Same-sex marriage in Harry fiction.

I’m sorry for limiting this list only with same-sex marriage, but I rarely read het and I’m afraid I won’t cope, considering the possible number of fics.

For this list I used the work of sarahna2, Uris, Trax Knight, Alicia and Carawen Javolia, for which my huge thanks to them! Also many thanks to Mieronna for the help transferring the list to my site.

RULES

What I take:

- ONLY same-sex marriage. I decided to limit this search only with slash and femmeslash fics (with one exception);
- fics where there’s a wedding ceremony. A bonding ceremony can act as a wedding if the meaning of the bond is ‘we are a couple for life and can’t divorce’;
- fics where we can see the life of a married couple. I mean that if a certain couple is said to be married but their life together isn’t shown, such fic won’t qualify. Also if a couple live together for some time but they aren’t married or bonded, such fic won’t do. However, if it’s shown as a life-long arrangement, it will do (moved together after school, died in each other arms at the ripe age of 150);
- MPreg fics fit ONLY if the couple is married/bonded;
- forced marriage fits, as well as the marriage of convenience.

Won’t do:

- Please, NO heterosexual marriage or weddings;
- NO fics where the fact that a certain couple is married is mentioned but their life as a married couple is not shown;
- courting, engagements, proposals won’t do if there’s no wedding in the fic. I should draw the line somewhere, right? So, I’m drawing it at weddings.
- if it’s a marital/soul bond AND it adds some ‘bonus’ features to the relationship (reading each other’s minds, empathy, knowing of one’s partner’s location, etc), such a fic is placed on the bonding fics list.
- no WIPs that have only a chapter or two written;
- no drabbles;
- do not bring fics you haven’t read;
- do not bring fics you didn’t like;
- do not bring fics the authors of which show no grammar or spelling skill even if you liked them;
- do me a courtesy, please, do not leave only a link. I’d be really grateful if you tell me (besides the title and author) whether the fic is a WIP or completed, what the pairings and the rating are, and who are the married couple in it.

The stories are sorted in alphabetical order by TITLE (excluding articles, i.e. The Bride Wore Redgoes under ‘B’).

Summary: Our story begins with the simple premise of “what if” something changed in the bathroom scene so that Harry and Draco talked instead of throwing hexes. It also takes the assumption of unvoiced attraction between the two. Draco takes a chance and kisses Harry. Once sparked, their mutual desire and exploration becomes the driving force in the alternative ending to that of Half-Blood Prince. Draco’s “mission” from Voldemort turns out to be more complex than that presented in canon and their solution even more difficult.
