Themed list: needles

Fics that feature needles used on human body, on Mijan’s request.
Mind the adult or disturbing content. Don’t click the links if you are going to be squicked!
What I take:
- fics where needles are used
a) as an instrument of torture;
b) in BDSM;
c) in injections, only if it plays an important part and is accented (as in, Harry sees the syringe getting close to his arm, and his skin start prickling; sweat trickles down his back, etc)
d) in tattooing / piercing, only if it’s described as a process, so we can see needles in use rather than the result. Otherwise the fic goes to the tattoo and piercing list.
e) anything else where needles can be seen used on human body.

Ages of Ink, by Sam Vimes (copperbadge)
PG; no pairing, slashy undertones; short. Summary: Every picture tells a story, especially the ones Sirius carries with him always. Sirius commemorates important points in his life with tattoos. After Sirius’ death, Harry wants one, too.
Apotropaic, by sparcck (locked)
Harry/Draco, NC-17. Piercing with the needle described. Author’s note: “Blythely asked for dystopic, non-con harry/draco piercing fic. Consider this your fair warning.”
Care of Magical Creatures, by Arsenic Jade ##
Remus/Hermione/Snape, references to Hermione/Harry/RW, also GW/Tonks; NC-17, long. Summary: The story behind Wereworld. There is a detailed description of werewolf branding (but it’s just a small detail in a very long fic) and fire tattoos. There are a lot of sequels, be sure to check them.
A Choriambic Progression, by Mairead Triste and Aristide ##
Snape/Harry; NC-17, novel-length. Summary: “Harry learns a lot over the summer. Smut happens. It’s all terribly exciting.” Harry has to take a sample of Snape’s blood to help remove a curse, but Snape is terrified of needles.
For Tomorrow Ye May Die, by Stone Dog NR
No pairing so far; R; discontinued WIP. Summary: “Stress has a way of crumbling walls and shattering souls, and Snape finds himself falling back on old habits.” Snape is starting to use heroin again. The fic shows the repeated use of a needle but the needle itself isn’t a main plot device, only part of the instrument to show the addiction.

Snape/Draco; NC-17. Summary: “You trust me, yes?” (Snape/Draco, For the pornish_pixies August Fantasy Fest. rosesanguina requested the following: Severus/Draco, established relationship, tattoo/piercing, D/s.) Draco is being tattoo’d, Muggle style.

Remus/Lucius, Remus/others. Dark. Summary: “When Remus is captured by Death Eaters, nothing that they do to him can make him relent. Or so he thinks.” BDSM needles.

Snape/Lucius; NC-17, short. After his imprisonment, Lucius doesn’t feel and doesn’t remember. Snape helps him. Warnings: Post-Azkaban Lucius – timeline unspecified. Oral sex, bondage, S&M, whipping, flogging, insertion play, needle play. H/C.

Harry/Percy; NC-17; short. Summary: “It’s been nearly twenty years since Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord, why is he still the Wizarding World’s Most Eligible Bachelor?” Harry gives Percy a piercing.
A Year Like None Other, by Aspen in the Sunlight #
Gen; R; long novel. Warnings: Violence. Summary: “A letter from home sends Harry down a path he’d never have walked on his own. A sixth year fic, this story follows Order of the Phoenix and disregards any canon events that occur after Book 5.” Needles are used to torture. There is also medical use of needles at the beginning. And self-harm with needles.
