Harry/James, AU, “Dexter” pastiche; NC-17, short. Warnings: incest, underage, potentially disturbing themes (no D/H spoilers or references). Summary: Just because your child kills one animal, it doesn’t mean they’re abnormal.
I’m sitting and shaking head here after reading this story ‘cos it sort of stunned me. It’s one of the strangest fics I’ve read, at the same time weird, disturbing, awfully hot and kinky, wrong, unusual, moving, and very interesting. Just wow. Am happily stealing this rec from Lizardspots for whom the story was written in the hpfamilyfuncest exchange :)
In Sweet Water, by Tarie []
James/Harry, James/Lily, NC-17, 7,300 words. AU. Warning: Pottercest, chan — depending on where you reside, I suppose. (Harry is not-quite-16, 17, and 18 during the Good Bits). Character death. Summary: “Harry needs you, James. And you need him.”
This fic isn’t very new (was written for this year’s Reversathon) but I forgot to rec it then. Rectifying now. The story is angsty and very sensual: water on skin, sounds, views, and sensations. Harry grows, and so does James’s fascination with him. And so, actually, does Harry’s. It’s neither easy nor happy, it’s wrong — but somehow fitting. Leaves you thinking.
A Lesson in Control, by Mosh & Lizardspots (locked; or here, requires password) #
James/Harry, NC-17, AU; fic+art collab, short. Warnings: incest, dubious-consent, under-age (Harry is 15). A fic/art collaboration with Lizard, written for Nimori as part of the pornish_pixies Fantasy Fest ‘05. ‘Keeping his tone steady, James continued, “I’ll not be undermined by you. Control, Harry. It’s about time you learned it. Now get out of my sight and don’t come back for two hours. I’ll remove the spell then.”
James teaches at Hogwarts. His son is a typical rebellious and bad-tempered teenager. It would be beyond silly to say “in character” about a character we’ve never seen as adult in canon (and not much of his school years either), and twice sillier to say so about a smut piece (chan! incest! gah), but… I just want to say that I can see it happening like this so vividly! :) Maybe it’s Lizard’s art to blame. Anyway, it’s a memorable fic. And hot, of course. And wrong, too. Yum.
Potterella, by Nimori #
James/Harry, Remus/Sirius; NC-17, AU, short. Summary: Once upon a time there was a Dark Lord, a king, a queen, a prince, a fairy godfather, a royal footman, a 1948 Vincent Black Lightning, and a boy called Potterella, and they all lived happily ever after. Except the Dark Lord. ‘Cause he dies. Warning: underage.
Charming, playful, funny and hot. One of the two Potter-cest fics that I liked [so far.] Adorable, clueless, naive but very natural Harry; brilliant installation of different style, brought into the fic with Sirius; refreshing irony that isn’t overdone. Good reading!
Ridotti, by Passo (or here) []
James/Harry; NC-17, short. Summary: It all started in a forest when Harry met Voldemort (who was supposed to be dead), got locked in a wardrobe, and found himself transported to Renaissance Venice. A Merry Smutmas fic.
It’s a framed story, or a story in a story, and the one that makes the frame is unlike anything I’ve seen. I couldn’t possibly say anything that wouldn’t spoil the surprise (the incredibly amusing, nice surprise!), but I’ll try. Harry goes for a walk with Hermione’s cat. He enters the Forbidden Forest and meets a man who chops firewood. Who the man is, how he got there, what he does in his spare time, it all is funny in the best Christmas-y way. Yes, I must admit that I like the frame more than the story inside it, but it’s still a very pleasant fic. Don’t mind the pairing; it’s really written not at all in the way you might expect.
Worlds Together, by Gateway Girl #
Harry/James/Lily, NC-17, AU, short. Summary: Harry has been disconnected since the end of the war, several years ago. When he rescues a familiar-looking stranger, he finds himself with connections. Warnings: Incest (of sorts), Sex, Spanking, Voyeurism.
Sequel: Making It Right (various pairings, NC-17, novelette).
This fic is intended to be read as with a surprise pairing (and this is what I was keeping in mind when I posted this rec on my journal). But the structure of my rec list requires that I sort fics by pairing. Sorry for the spoiler. I would have missed this story but for meri_oddities’s really intriguing rec. Mind the warnings and the rating; they are all true — and for me they are definitely a plus but I don’t know how it’s for you. Thing is, I like this surprise pairing (many people don’t) but even taking into account my positive predisposition, I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with how the author made it work. The story is short but it shows a lot, and the concept is clever and unusual. Real pleasure, as for me!
Darkly Home (Upon a Midnight Clear), by Nimori #
Regulus/Sirius, Regulus/Sirius/Snape; NC-17, short. Summary: It’s the last Christmas, and Sirius gets a reminder of life with little brothers — and their annoying friends. Warnings: threesome and incest, obviously. Double penetration. Less than enthusiastic consent.
Steaming hot but also bittersweet. The Black brothers are insufferable and charming, Snape is pathetic but charming too, and it’s all rather sad ‘cos you know what will happen next, but it’s very appealing all the same, despite the complex dynamics and moral issues — or maybe because of it. They are — at least Sirius and Snape, whom we can imagine from canon — very much in character. Very good fic, a PWP that is much richer than just a PWP.
Most Loved, by Kabeyk #
Sirius/Lucius, Sirius/Regulus, NC-17, short. Warnings: Sirius is sixteen, and Regulus only fifteen, so a bit chan-ish. And incestuous, clearly. Summary: Regulus hadn’t realised what a near thing it was, hadn’t realised that ‘final straw’ meant just that: final. If Lucius Malfoy’s crash course in good pureblood behaviour doesn’t work, then Regulus doesn’t like to think about what will happen.
Remittance Man, by Teka Lynn (locked; or here) []
Sirius/Regulus, NC-17, short. Summary: Sirius and Regulus sneak some wine from the family’s cellar, and see their game of mutual taunting gain a sensual edge.
Double or Nothing, by Calico ##
Fred/George/[Lance Bass]; NC-17, shortish. Author’s summary: Exploration of social boundaries. Through porn. (Using redheads and bonus popstar.) Warnings: incest and Real Person Slash, sort of.
I was reluctant to read this fic because of “[Lance Bass]” in the pairing. You see, I have almost no clue who he is, and when I Googled him and looked at the photos, I didn’t find him attractive. But I like twincest. While I was “ehm-ing” and “uhm-ing” in indecision, a friend pushed me, telling me that it was one of the best twincest fics out there. So I gave it a try — and fell in love. I would think it a testament to the author’s talent that I now like this story as much as I do despite not giving a damn about one of the main characters. But if you’ve read other stories by Calico, you know that her talent doesn’t need any testaments.
Although it’s indeed a threesome and Lance Bass plays a big part, it’s really all about the twins. Fred and George are absolutely great here. It’s not that kind of fic where they have been shagging since they were toddlers. Nor are their roles limited to clown-like activities and picking up each other’s conversation thread. Their relationship in Double or Nothing is smooth and easy, like that of their canon selves, but there are half-realised complications, which Lance brings into light. Both Fred and George want Lance, and one brother would let the other have him — it wouldn’t be the first time like this for them, but Lance wants either both or neither. This leads to a wonderful, tentative exploration and balancing between attraction and taboo.
If you’d like a story that would be at once tense, subtle, hot, tender, and full of cautious self-discovery, this would be it. If you aren’t squicked by twincest, read it ‘cos it’s a truly wonderful story that one really shouldn’t miss.
First Snow, by Kay Taylor []
Bill/Charlie; R, short. Summary: Bill/Charlie. Fluffy. The first snow comes, and Percy wants to go sledging.
new First, There Was Romania, by Snegurochka ##
Bill/Charlie, NC-17, 6,300 words. Warnings: Incest. Also, really quite angsty, even for me. Probably because of all the incest. Some DH spoilers. Summary: If first was Romania, that meant that second was Egypt, and nobody really wanted to think about Egypt, least of all Charlie. Still, he couldn’t help but think of Romania as first. Sure as hell beat thinking of it as last.
Wow, this one killed me. And if not killed, then stunned for sure. It hurts and it delivers its message in such a strong, penetrating manner that I was ouch-ing and swearing after finishing it. But at the same time I’m very glad I read it because it’s a damn good story. Painful and intense, sexy in what concerns sex and deep in what concerns emotions. It’s just a story of two brothers who happened to become lovers, curious youths that they were, and then one decided to become ‘normal.’ The other? Well… Read and find out. Highly recommended.
Firsts, by swtalmnd # (or here)
Fred/George; NC-17, short. Warnings: incest, rimming, felching, chan/underage (9, 12, 14). Summary: The first time Fred kissed George, they were five years old. The first time George touched Fred’s prick on purpose, they were nine.
Porn. Twincest porn. Very hot and dirty. Exactly what I’ve been dreaming of for ages. Prepare a bucket of cold water and a fan. pj has lost all words :)
Guiltier Than Him They Try, by Eodrakken (pauraque) (or here) #
Lucius/Draco; NC-17, short. Summary: When the cat’s away, vice will play. Inspired by Measure for Measure.
Amusing, well-written, sly, interesting, even creepy in places, but in a good sense, or maybe it’s just me and not the fic :). Really enjoyable reading if you don’t mind incest.
Passage to Eden, by Rushlight ##
Lucius/Draco; NC-17, short. Warnings: Contains graphic scenes of incest between a father and his sixteen-year-old son, which may also be considered scenes of questionable consent. This is not a conventional love story. Caveat lector. Summary: The seduction of Draco Malfoy. Lucius introduces Draco to some chemical relaxation, and Draco learns that paradise is often in the eye of the beholder.
Decadence as it is, wrapped in beauty: a manipulative and depraved Lucius, a 16-year-old Draco that I’m really glad to meet in fanfiction. Not the super-elegant, cool, and composed bastard we see in so many stories (especially H/D). Here Draco is very mush like his canon self.
So, one day Draco comes home and finds his father with a whore. The nicest whore, naturally. Draco just turned 16 and Lucius offers the whore to him. And a potion. This is how Draco’s introduction to the adult life begins.
As for me, this story is an example of non-squicky incest. Maybe because it’s consensual (which we learn only at the very end), maybe because it’s just not traumatic. We see things from Draco’s POV, so we can see how he accepts his father’s slow and careful seduction, step by step. It all looks natural in Draco’s drugged perspective. And then in his sober one, too. A definite recommendation for those who like incest and for those who don’t.
The Preface, by ElectricAndroid (locked; or here) ##
Lucius/Draco; NC-17, short. Warnings: Incest, cross-dressing.. etc
ElectricAndroid works with the preface to Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde. *I* don’t like Oscar Wilde but I have to admit that ElectricAndroid makes wonders in her story. I wouldn’t like it if the author just limited herself with appearance, however beautiful it is. I don’t like formal devices on the surface. But in the entire aesthete’s approach, she lets us see the emotional side of the relationship, its inner beauty. Chaptered flashbacks of Draco aged 2, 4, …, 16, divided with the quotations from Wilde’s preface, show the steps of Lucius’s developing obsession with his son’s beauty. 20, 25, 30, 40, … Life-long, all-consuming, surviving everything. In another word – love.
I won’t say much; as for me, it’s an excellent fic in all respects. Just go read it.
Silk, by Fee Absinthe (Pushdragon) []
Lucius/Draco; NC-17, short. Summary: Lucius brings a new obsession back from Azkaban. Draco tries to find a way to ask for what he wants.
